Can not get multitouch to work on Samsung 700 series Chronos

I just purchased a Samsung NP700Z5B-S01UB Chronos laptop and installed Ubuntu 12.04. Everything seems to be working except the multitouch Elan track pad. The problem is that the track pad buttons are integrated into touch surface. So if I wish to click and drag, my left button press counts as a touch and the pad ignores my second "dragging" finger. This makes the machine nearly impossible to use without a mouse. The track pad works very well in windows and I believe enabling multitouch in Ubuntu will solve this problem. I have been searching for several days and have not found a solution that works. Any ideas?
    Thanks!

Take a look at this: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SynapticsTouchpad
This should point you in the direction to understand how the system interprets touchpads. If you google deeper, you should be able to find that you can customise a script to avoid that problem.
