Xubuntu 12.04, Pogo.com, Java

I am running Xubuntu 12.04. I have been running Ubuntu for several years (Micro$oft-free). I have been playing Hearts and Spades on Pogo.com for years, running many flavors of Linux - mostly Ubuntu/Xubuntu. I just recently installed Xubuntu 12.04 and have Gnome installed. Now when I try to play Spades at Pogo.com, I get part-way in and the app crashes. I'm thinking JAVA Plugin? I have Iced-Tea 7 Plugin installed and have tried version 6, both to no avail. Help someone, please.

I have the same exact problem..except i'm using UBUNTU. can anyone help me pls?

Try using Oracle Java instead and see if that helps.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install oracle-java7-installer

However, when I play Spades, I periodically get intermissions with ads, etc. The game hangs at the intermission and crashes! Any ideas??
