    Exclamation .tar.gz file download

I wanted to download Ares to download music. I already extracted the .tar.gz file, but when I open the folder and click on the .exe file, it gives me this error:

    Archive: /home/reinamarquez/Downloads/Ares/Ares Linux 0.9.5/Ares Linux 0.9.exe
    [/home/reinamarquez/Downloads/Ares/Ares Linux 0.9.5/Ares Linux 0.9.exe]
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
zipinfo: cannot find zipfile directory in one of /home/reinamarquez/Downloads/Ares/Ares Linux 0.9.5/Ares Linux 0.9.exe or
    /home/reinamarquez/Downloads/Ares/Ares Linux 0.9.5/Ares Linux 0.9.exe.zip, and cannot find /home/reinamarquez/Downloads/Ares/Ares Linux 0.9.5/Ares Linux 0.9.exe.ZIP, period.
I am an absolute noob with this Operating System

As Toporagno mentions, you'll need WINE to run Windows programs like Ares. Now might be a good time to also look at some of the alternatives that are native to Linux. Clementine is a good option. It is in the repository and can be installed with a few clicks. Are there specific features in Ares that you are looking to use?
