    Sound menu alternate players controls

OK. Upgraded to 12.04. Like it. However, I don't like Rhythmbox, so I switched it for gmusicbrowser in the Sound Menu.

My question - when Rhythmbox was in the sound menu, here were controls (previous, play/pause, next). There are no such controls for other players, as far as I can tell. Are these controls only available for Rhythmbox? Any way of having other media players have similar controls in the sound menu?

    Thanks.

Re: Sound menu alternate players controls

    Hi there,

I found this to be of help.

    HTML Code:
    http://www.webupd8.org/2012/05/how-to-quickly-remove-media-players.html
Where I removed Rhythmbox altogether (as I don't use it) and added some others.

It helps if your chosen audio app supports being in the sound menu (as does guayadeque and vlc, but deadbeef doesn't)

If the app doesn't support it, the app will show up in the sound menu, but will only start the app when activated, providing no player controls within the sound menu.

    Hope this helps.
