Question Re: PulseAudio 2.0 call for testing

    Greetings,

    I've a question regarding this 2.0 version.
Why equalizer module and qpaeq is not included in ubuntu build of pulseaudio 2.0 ?

Re: PulseAudio 2.0 call for testing

Why does jack detection for HDMI still not work?

Btw, I've built equalizer-enabled PA. It's not worth it. That other unofficial PA equalizer is still miles better.

Question Re: PulseAudio 2.0 call for testing

I just doesn't understand why it's not built ? In that case users can't even try it to judge it or improve it.
The other one equalizer mentioned by you have a lot of dependencies (including gnome components) so I don't like it in KDE environment.
Anyway I don't see a reason to not include it in official build .
Is there any problem with including it ?

Luke seems skeptical it will ever be enabled

Currently, pulseaudio is misconfiguring my system. It does not enable my ASUS UL50VT internal speakers and microphone. This machine contains two sound cards:

00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03)
01:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1)

When I look at the device list in the Sound Control Panel, only the "Simultaneous output to High Definition Audio Controller Digital Stereo (HDMI)" is shown for output. Nothing is listed for input.

    Hello,

This PPA version fixed a problem with sound routing out through the display port on an nVIDIA Quadro2000 card running the XSWAT drivers. Previously, every time I rebooted I lost sound and would have to manually reselect the correct HDMI output.

    Thanks,
    CH
