    Hi

That looks like dependency hell there

Can we take a look at your sources.

    Open a terminal and type

    Code:
    grep ^ /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*
Copy and past the output from that command between code tags like this

    [code] output [/code]

    to get output like this

    Code:
     output

Re: Package dependencies cannot be resolved

    Hi

I expected to see an unholy mix of ppa's and repo versions That's what usually causing these problems.

However, it seems to be a known problem.

Take a look at this thread.

    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...eg/+bug/971012

Poster #9 had a solution that worked for a couple of people.

    Kind regards

Re: Package dependencies cannot be resolved

I try almost every thing that I know by cleaning my cache and what found related to this but i found this helped

You need to install unmet dependencies etc gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg to install this first you need to install libavcodec53 libavcodec-extra-53 libavformat53 to install this libavcodec53, libgsm1 libschroedinger-1.0-0, libavcodec53, libavcodec-extra-53 libavformat53, gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg, gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad, ffmpeg or you can try like this

    sudo apt-get install libgsm1 libschroedinger-1.0-0 libavcodec53 libavcodec-extra-53 libavformat53 gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad ffmpeg

if it says to install any unmet dependencies then install them first.

or you can wait for ubuntu developer but I dont know who told them to focused on GUI

I hope it will help you

    try aptitude instead of apt-get

    I think you need to
    Code:
    apt-get install aptitude
    on 12.04+

    then you would type

    Code:
    sudo aptitude install ....
