    Gparted Recovery

Basically, I accidentally formatted my drive from ntfs to fat32 using gparted. I have tried to use gparted to recover it with no goals. I am just wondering any tips to recover my lost data. I know the data is still there because it is not a secure delete. Fyi, it is a storage drive where I store my old watch anime

You could use testdisk for partition recovery or photorec for files. Go the testdisk route first.

If you download the ISO and create SystemRescueCD boot media, that includes both testdisk and photorec and a lot of other useful things. Boots to an xfce4 (I think) desktop.

The problem with photorec type of recovery is that the filename is all mess up so I think I will just redownload every anime

testdisk should be able to recover the entire partition.
