    Choppy Video Playback

I have a fresh install of 12.04 (64 bit) on an ASUS M2A-VM motherboard (Integrated ATI Radeon X1250-based graphics) going into my LG 52" plasma TV via DVI/HDMI. I'm getting choppy feedback of video. What should I do?

Try enable v-sync in Catalyst Control Center.

Woah. Well, I didn't know anything about Catalyist or fglrx at all, so I started by doing "apt-get install fglrx" and then a reboot. And now playback is eraticly slowing down and speeding up, but only sometimes. Other times it's completely normal. It's insane.

    But it's not choppy anymore!
