Any one has any experience with running freegate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freegate) on Ubuntu 12.04 (wine).
I transferred the reqd dll file but still freegate seems endlessly trying to locate somthing on the net and does not responds.

I have to go to my windows partition just for some of these little applications.
Anyway to use it in Ubuntu ?
Sometimes wine provides workarounds/patches for wine that let you run programs not normally supported. That would probably be found on the wine site. http://www.winehq.org/
