    gcc not found

Hi, I just finished install kubuntu 12.04 from its live CD..
But, it is strange, why gcc is not installed?
How to install it without internet connection? (I cannot connect to internet, since my dialup modem still does not work)

    Re: gcc not found

As far as I know, gcc is not part of a default installation. It is part of package build-essential.

You could download it on a different machine, transfer it to your computer and install it there, but you have to take care of the dependencies yourself.
