I migrated one of our office's computer from Windows 7 to Ubuntu 12.04, clean install of course.
Setting up our networked Brother MFC-840DN laser printer was easy enough, but printing is slow. Let's say a user wants to print 70 copies of a 14 pages document using the duplex, it just takes for ever, the printer will pause, restarts in what seems to be a random pattern. Printing from Windows was a fast process, no pause.
I tried using the different drivers offered out of the box or the one downloaded from the Brother Linux page to no avail.
Anyone has any idea of what is happening?
