    12.04: after installing Gnome-shell, Unity 3D disapeared.

    Let me expand:

I installed Gnome-shell to test it, and weirdly it was really really slow (like 3 minutes to open Nautilus slow) so I switched back to Unity 3D, but while the desktop boots, the dash and top bar are not showing at all. Unity 2D still functions fine. What can I do to get back Unity?

    Have you tried?
    Code:
    unity --reset
