Lousy Label

Hi Guys,

I have a Pangolin panp8 that I got a few months ago. The big System76 logo on the lid peeled off. This makes us all look bad, selling Linux is hard as it is and nobody likes a lousy label.

Is there any way to fix this?

Is this logo just a sticker? Or is it a badge like the ones on desktops (Powered by intel, Win7 certified, etc).

Yes it is, but it looks bad if it partially peels off. I should say that System76 just mailed me a new sticker, so everything is cool now.

The same thing happened to mine - I just opened a support ticket, and I hope they send me one too. Maybe if enough of us ask for replacements, they'd invest in some better labels.

The label is about the least important part of the laptop functionality wise, but it looks bad when people ask me "Well System76, never heard of them", then I say "Oh, they make really nice Linux laptops" and then people stare at the half peeled label.

I wonder if they can engrave the logo right into the case.

Please Do Not engrave into the case. I like being able to peel off the stickers. I think it looks cleaner and more professional with no logos/badges. Maybe it can be optional? Malibal offers to remove branding.

Naturally, System76 came through and today I got the new sticker. My laptop is shiny again.
