    Freezes in mid shutdown?

10.04LTS, older Toshiba laptop, Bought in 2007?

Everything seems to be working fine except that for the last month, when I go to shutdown my laptop, it gets to the "ubuntu" with the red/white dots, and then locks up. I'll wake in the morn to find it frozen like that, some red and some white dots.

    Any ideas?

    Software? Hardware?

    Thanks!!

when it freezes, try pressing ctrl + f1, or ctrl + alt +f1.

alternatively, try turning off wireless adapter before shutting down.
If I'm curt with you it's because time is a factor. I think fast, I talk fast and I need you guys to act fast if you wanna get out of this. So, pretty please... with sugar on top. Clean the [censored] car.
