Status of Pianobar?

As of the 25th of last month all pianobar based clients (Pithos, XBMC, Pianopub on OSX and pianobar itsself) all ceased to work. The last snapshot available on the Pianobar github is from the 24th. I can't seem to find any information on what's going on or whether there is a fix in the works. Does anyone else know why Pithos stopped working?

link please? I just checked the github at http://6xq.net/projects/pianobar/ and it's the one from the day before the protocol change. Everything I read indicated that no fix had been released as of yet.

of course I compiled it! I purged piano bar from apt, first and then complied the source and I still get an error after putting in my email and password

also, I was wondering if you could point me towards the instructions for compiling on OSX. I came across them once but can't find them again. I have MacPorts installed and there is some flag you have to set when compiling because of some static libraries that need to be linking as the binary is i386 and Lion is 64 bit

never mind, I fixed it. Pianobar is now working again for me. After updating MacPorts to the latest version and running self update it works again. I wonder how long until we see the fix trickle downstream to Pianopub, Pithos and other Piano Bar based apps
