    Booting from virtual disk image

All we know what WUBI does: It creates Ubuntu virtual disk image in Windoze and emulates physical Ubuntu boot. It's very useful if you don't want to create additional file systems on your hard drive. But what about the case, when your primary OS is Ubuntu (or any other GNU/Linux distro)? How can I emulate physical boot of other operating systems?
