k I have no idea what any of that means
I think I am just going to give up on trying to get this wireless card working. There is no chance of me actually getting it to work. Thanks for all the help though I appreciate it. I am just not cut out to use ubuntu

Re: HOWTO/SCRIPT: Broadcom 4318 Wireless Cards

    Hi there

sorry if my question has been answered in a previous post, can't quite read all of them...
When I run the script posted at the beginning of this thread I get the following errors:

The driver bcmwl5 gets however installed BUT:

Any idea of what's going wrong? I've wasted so much time already on trying to setup the bleeding thing
    Thx!

Re: HOWTO: Broadcom 4318 Wireless Cards

Hi folks, I need to make a change for convenience' sake. Presently my wired ethernet, eth0, comes up as the "default gateway." In order to access my wireless I need to go into network manager and switch the gateway. I assume their is a file I need to edit, can someone give me a quick guide for this?

Unhappy Re: HOWTO: Broadcom 4318 Wireless Cards

hi guys. i am desperately trying to activate my broadcom on hp nx6110 laptop.
it did worked without any troubles under dapper but when i installed edgy couple days ago it all went wrong

i dont have any cable connection available and i am trying to connect to open network in hotel's lounge.

i did everything according to the first page of this post... ndiswrapper seems to be properly installed and led was activated

however in the networ settings box i am missint eth1 or wlan0 (?) and i dunno what to do with that next

none of the available networks is available

    rdk@rdk-laps:~$ sudo ndiswrapper -l
    Installed drivers:
    bcmwl5 driver installed, hardware present
