HOWTO: Broadcom 4318 Wireless Cards

Hey whats I am having problems getting this card to work on my rig. I am installing this on a desktop. I followed the intructions layed out in your tutorial and it got me farther then anything else I tried however. When I try get into the Network Settings and attempt to set up my wireless connection nothing happends. It see the network that is setup but it won't connect to it. Now this network has some weird security feature turned on that requires me to enter this...i guess you could call it a password. I am not 100% sure of where to enter this and I am wondering if that is what is causing the network not to work properly. Please Please if you can help me I would greatly Appreciate it!! 4 hours I have been trying to get it working and this is as close as I have come!

are u using network-manager-gnome? if so...it is broken for edgy...a fix is located here I will be adding to the ndiswrapper script so it does this autmaticly. A patch will be availble soon.

wasn't running synaptics or updater. how do i run the script as a root?

I ran the script like this

you ran the script as root...hmm...post you logs.

welll..if you did not have synaptics or any other program that has to do with packages then i do not know what i going wrong....
