Hello,
This isn't such a major issue, but it comes up frequently enough to bother me sometimes. The problem that I have is after physically switching off my laptop's wireless card (Intel 4965 is the card's model), I can't get it to come back on. Flipping the switch to the "on" position re-enables bluetooth, but alas no wireless networking. I've tried using
which outputsCode:sudo /etc/init.d/networking stop sudo /etc/init.d/networking start
Is there some other command I might try? The only time this problem is especially annoying is when I forget to switch on the card before I boot, in which case I look around for an ethernet cable.wlan0: unknown hardware address type 803
