    Can't use Ubuntu on my MBP 8,1

    Hi.
    I'm finally coming to ask for help, as I've been trying to install Ubuntu since I acquired my new MacBook Pro last year. I've been trying with Ubuntu 11.04, then Ubuntu 11.10. Problem: The live cd wouldn't boot at all and give me a text error. I've been waiting for Ubuntu 12.04 to come out and try again. Now I can successfully boot the live cd, and install Ubuntu, but I can't boot into it with rEFIt. I have either a "Missing operating system" error or it's booting Windows instead (in a weird no wifi mode) after syncing tables.
    If anybody could help.
