    Ubuntu 12.04 Broadcom Sta driver installation failed

    My computer is a HP Pavilion dm5. On all previous releases of Ubuntu I would open up additional drivers, plug my computer into ethernet and install the driver and all would be fine. Now when I do that I get:

    "Sorry, installation of this driver failed. Please have a look at the log file for details: /var/log/jockey.log"

    Thanks in Advance - Natethegreat131

    If your pci.id is the same, please proceed. If it's different, post it here and we'll work out a fix.

    Hi everyone;
    I have the same problem as
    natethegreat131, my pc is a Dell Inspiron mini, the problem is that I am in residence so that I don't have any ethernet access. Is there any other solutions to fix the wireless connection without the ethernet.

    Do you have the same device?
