    Encrypting and locking folder

    Hi i am using ubuntu 12.04 LTS ....i was wondering whether there is any way to lock or encrypt a folder. I am running PC with duel boot. As ubuntu give access to windows partition also. whether i can lock folders in those partitions also from ubuntu?
    Any suggestion will be appreciated..

    For the windows partition, I think you have to install truecrypt or a similar software to encrypt from inside windows.

    i guess you can just unmount the win folders from the gui. otherwise if you want to encrypt folders/files you can try this:
