    Webcam on 1201T

    I have a ASUS 1201T netbook I just upgraded to 12.04 Desktop i386 from 11.10 by DVD.

The internal webcam has stopped working as well as it did with 11.10. I have looked all over the internet and have not found a solution.

Previously with cheese the webcam would show an image but freeze when taking a picture. With Skype it would show my video for a few seconds/minutes then freeze.

Now no image is displayed when I open cheese.

Now the video for skype doesn't freeze but it does not display correctly. The video looks jumbled into horizontal lines.

I was able to take a picture of myself during installation/upgrade.

lsusb: lists my webcam as: Bus 002 Device 002: ID 13d3:5111 IMC Networks Integrated Webcam

skype detects my webcam as: USB2.0 UVC VGA WebCam

I was not sure if this should be posted in ASUS Support or Hardware & Laptop.

    Thanks

    Re: Webcam on 1201T

    Solved!

Skype was working fine, just the test box made the video look weird. Works on actual calls.

All I needed to do was change the resolution in Cheese.

Hope this helps someone in the future!

    And now I feel stupid...
