Unity launcher colour problem

After upgrading to the latest Ubuntu I can't seem to change the colour of the unity launcher (I think that's what the bar on the left of the screen is called). I've tried myunity and ubuntu tweak but whilst I can get the background colour to change briefly it always reverts to brown. What I want is for it to match my wallpaper. Any suggestions?

You're just going to have to sit tight and wait for a fix, I'm afraid. Alternatively, you could use Unity 2D until a fix for Unity 3D has been applied.

The Dash appears to choose its base colour from the center pixel on your desktop image. Change that pixel and you should get the colour you want

Even with CompizConfig colour of launcher changes for a moment only>>>

I have the same problem. Also the color of bubble notification is changed to the launcher color. And i cant seem to change it

The center pixel? How did that happen?

Notice that the unity launcher and the notification bubble are bluish, after i had selected the background color to some blue.

Now, even if i change the background color it wont change.

P.S.: I appreciate the efforts the developers put in to provide us with enterprise class free OS.
