Games lag now in 12.04

Hello. I haven't had an issue with games lagging in Ubuntu 11.10, but with 12.04, the games have been lagging a lot in the regular Unity session. However, in Unity 2D, the games play as smooth as they would in practically any session I used in Ubuntu 11.10 (including the regular, 3D Unity session.) It's not that the actual Unity '3D' session is laggy, it's that games that I play in it are.
Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks for the link. I have found that you can fix this issue by unchecking Sync to VBlank in the OpenGL section of Compiz.

Hello everyone! I have a problem similar to this. All my games that worked just fine in 11.10 now lag severly in 12.04. I can't use Unity 3D at all, it just gives a black screen. Unity 2D is the only one that works at all. Turning that sync to vblank thing off doesn't do anything. Please help!
