No Privacy Settings available

I have exactly the same problem. The "Privacy Settings" icon is nowhere to be found. I have installed Precise a few weeks ago, and always updated. May be this feature only applies on fresh installs?

I have been running 12.04 since Beta 1. It is still installed on my system.

Probably they want to gather your information to help develop the latest release, perhaps?

Are you in Unity or some other Desktop Environment session in Ubuntu 12.04 at the moment? Switch to Unity if so, and see if it shows up now.

Well you can just uninstall Zeitgeist until it shows up again, if you are worried about this issue.

Thanks for your help! I too am experiencing this issue. I tried reinstalling Zeitgeist and this has not fixed the problem.

Edit: I also upgraded instead of doing a fresh-install. I assume there is an issue with the upgrade process in this regard.

Just to add that I too have no privacy icon. I kept reading about this as a new feature at OMGUbuntu and expected to see it appear at some stage during the update process.

To date nothing has materialised. Unity 3D 12.04 via regular updates from initial alpha stage.
