That will be 'Alt+RightClick' or 'Alt+Super+RightClick'.try a right click on the taskbar
'Super' is the MS logo key in Windows talk.
Be careful not to delete a one and only Panel [TaskBar] or you will not be able to make a new one, at all easily.

Is it, objectively speaking, better, then what I have now? Or is it just different, and do you just have to go through all the hassle of learning a new interface, and you don't really get anything out of it?
I'm not a fan of change, I'm running now 12.04, and I hope I can keep on running it for the next five years.
Upgrading every half year is for me a nightmare.
You may be better off searching then posting a new thread regarding moving the taskbar if you don't find answers. You will increase your chances of getting help as posting about it here will be posting on a thread with an unrelated thread title and the post will be buried eighteen posts deep.
