Well you are in debian, its not Ubuntu
What do you want that you class as basic ?
usually the default debian source is fine
The only thing i add is contrib non-free
If you have trouble with your sources then try http://debgen.simplylinux.ch/
and here is unofficial repos http://wiki.debian.org/UnofficialRepositories
