    "slight delay in assembly"

    Just got a message about the Lemur I ordered last week;

    Hi ----,
I'm sorry, but we have experienced a slight
delay in assembly and may be shipping your
product outside of the 8 business days
standard time. We appreciate your patience
as we work through this challenge. I will let
you know when I have a more concrete
update for shipping time. Please let me know
    if you have any questions.

I got the same message. Also ordered a Lemur last week. I followed up and a rep told me there was a snag in testing and that they System76 was working on a "patch." She said she expected shipment really soon.

Me three. Hoping to get my grubby little hands on this one soon as I've already given away the desktop it is intended to replace!

Added 4GB RAM and the 60GB SSD to the base configuration.

Same here, and fwiw the bug also applies to the Pangolin line.

This is disappointing. Didn't they test the systems before putting them on sale?!

I wonder what the bug is. Here's my config (mods):

    2nd Generation Intel Core i7-2670QM Processor ( 2.20GHz 6MB L3 Cache - 4 Cores plus Hyperthreading )
    8 GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz - 2 X 4GB
240 GB Intel 520 Series SATA III 6 Gb/s Solid State Disk Drive

It feels like it could be SSD related. Is anyone here lacking the SSD option?

Mine is delayed, and I didn't order an SSD.

    Re: "slight delay in assembly"

The reason that systems were a bit slow to ship out was due to the very large sudden demand for the laptops. Basically, we had too many orders to be able to get through all of them as quickly as we usually do, and this caused the delay. We have gotten through much of the backlog, and so systems are now shipping out at normal speed. I believe there was a large batch of systems that shipped out last night, so the status should be updated in the orders shortly.

    Thank you.

What about the mysterious "patch" as mentioned in our support responses? Perhaps pertaining to the capabilities added by the System76 driver?

That was actually a miscommunication. The reason for the delay was the backlog.
