Exclamation Suspend/Hibernate not working on Asus K53s

    Hello,
I have a Asus K53s Laptop and installed 11.10(64 bit) on it.
All is fine except the suspend/hibernate functions dont work.
When I suspend/hibernate the laptop, ubuntu exits but the screen and laptop is still powered on!!
I have 4 gb RAM and 4gb Swap space.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Have a look at this solution: http://thecodecentral.com/2011/01/18...ot-working-bug. Based on the comments, there appears to be some success on the same notebook.

Re: Suspend/Hibernate not working on Asus K53s

    I solved the issue.
With the help of these links:-
1.Copy this script on this link to the specified location
    http://thecodecentral.com/2011/01/18...ot-working-bug
The above link is for 10.10 but confirmed works on 12.04 on my Asus K53S laptop.

2.To enable hibernate option on the GUI use the below link
    http://www.howtogeek.com/113923/how-...-ubuntu-12.04/

    Thanks for your help.
