how do i uninstall if i installed from source?

i installed python 3.2.3 for programming reasons, but it got me curious..if i ever want to uninstall how the heck do i do that? when i installed it, it didnt put a spot in the software center or synaptic saying "python3.2.3" or anything..and i cant find an uninstall so what do i do? and can i delete the files i used to make make install or do i have to keep those?

Go back into the source folder and run 'sudo make uninstall'

I think this is a commonly asked question did you search for past threads?

I am pretty sure .tar files manually installed are stored in /usr/local whether its safe to delete them or not that's a whole new story.
