im running Ubuntu 11.04 on my tablet. when i switch users i have no upper or lower bars or anything but the back ground . how can i change this so my wife can use this tablet with her own account?

What version of Ubuntu are you running, and what desktop environment? Is this a fresh account that you're switching to? What happens when you try the guest account?
