I've got an upstart script called /etc/init/app.conf that looks like this:
Currently I have to use sudo to start and stop it, e.g. "sudo start app" or "sudo stop app" and whatnot.Code:description "app server" author "kethinov" start on started mountall stop on shutdown # automatically respawn: respawn respawn limit 99 5 script export HOME="/var/www/app" chdir /var/www/app exec ./app >> /var/log/app.log 2>&1 end script post-start script exec /root/bin/hoptoad.sh "app has started" end script
Is it possible to enable select users or members of a specific group to start/stop jobs without sudo? I haven't yet figured out how to do that.
