    Crimson Fields frozen

    Hi,
My OS is Ubuntu 7.04. I was just going to give a chance to Crimson
Fields, but unfortunately it's impossible. Both - the Feisty repository
version and game compiled from source are going to freeze after a short
while so I have to kill the process.
Any ideas what can be the problem?

    Re: Crimson Fields frozen

I have the same problem (I'm using KUbuntu Interpid).
However, as far as I see, crimson doesn't freeze permanently. I.e. it freezes each ~5 minites and then unfreezes in a minute (or smth like that).
Albeit this bug annoys me a lot, the game itself is AMAZING!

As a workaround, you can run Windows version of crimson (http://crimson.seul.org/files/crimson-0.5.1-win32.exe) under Wine -- it seems to run without freezing.

Just turn off the game music -- and it will run fine.
