Question libtotem-vegas-plugin.so taking over "Flash Operations" after update

    Hi,

At some point (it seems like last night's (04/06) update for the Ubuntu 12.04 beta) a mysterious new browser plug-in appeared, or at least, asserted itself.

This plugin is "libtotem-vegas-plugin.so", which promotes itself over the version of Adobe Flash that I have installed, and proceeds to play flash video in both Firefox and Chrome, also, none too well, with a loss of Flash Object control functions.

It's easy enough to disable, but has anyone else encountered this? I'm just curious.

Re: libtotem-vegas-plugin.so taking over "Flash Operations" after update

I have seen a case or two. I not sure why some people have it and others don't. I suppose is comming from a debian repo or a ppa.

This could be a great solution to play flash if it works, but without controls is not very helpful.
