    lubuntu using too much ram

    Chose Lubuntu because I have an older P4 machine and everytime I run task manager my system is using close to a gig of memory I thought the point of Lubuntu was to use less ? Am I reading something wrong or is this a problem that can be resolved ? p.s. Ubuntu used only 130-200
