Ok, it's been a while. The Ubuntu forums look fantastic and aesthetic, but still no sign of tapatalk integration on the horizon.

Has the community council discussed about this yet?

None of the things we have done have been an upgrade to the forum, that is still vb3.

You will all be third to know - staff will be second - it is completely out of our hands.

Rest assured that once we have been upgraded that we will look into it - it won't be the first thing we look at, but it will be looked at.

As said, we will have to wait for the forum upgrade before implementing tapatalk

It means the forum is being upgraded to vb4.

Any plugins - including tapatalk - have to be verified by Canonical IS before they can be used, we've not looked at any of those yet.

We've been doing some testing this week with the tapatalk plugin as an alternative to the mobile theme. Quite a number of people have been asking for it, so we've been looking at getting it up and running on this forum.

Fair enough, but i found it annoying to be linked to a paid app.

People have asked for it, we've installed it. You do not have to purchase the application, this forum also has a mobile theme if you wish to use it.

In terms of it being an advertisement, I'd like to think of it as a notification that we support tapatalk

I looked for Ubuntuforums on tapatalk and all I could find was UF test forum but it would not let me in. but the fact that yall are working on having it makes me happy as I use it for all of my other forums I frequent.

edit I just seen that you said you are testing it still.
