Music skipping, jumping and not playing.

This is a backend (PulseAudio) issue as it affects both Banshee and Rhythmbox. With some tracks sound is jumpy, parts of other tracks are skipped out (if both tracks are very short, for example) and sometimes it won't play the next track at all.

If this is a Pulseaudio issue, is there any way of either fixing it or working around it? Thanks.

Bump. Is nobody else really having this issue?

If it helps, this is an Nvidia CK804 chipset (Realtek AC97).
