Internet connections keeps dropping.

At home I have a wireless network secured only by a MAC address filter.

This is a fully-updated clean install of Kubuntu 11.10 32-bit desktop.

I start it up and the wireless connections works fine, but when I leave the computer and come back after a period of time, the Internet no longer works until I reboot.

Any ideas for troubleshooting?

It may not be your exact problem, but it is very useful to follow it and see the steps that were done to try and resolve the issue.
