    Question Constant popping sound

I'm running 11.10 on a Dell XPS 14 L401x. For some reason, my speakers emit a LOUD popping sound every couple of minutes. I tried muting, and now uninstalling pulseaudio, but it still keeps doing it. It's disrupting my class, and I feel frustrated. I can't not use Linux. Do I need to buy another laptop?

Do you have a wireless router?
I just installed a wireless router and every now and then I hear a popping ( although not to loud ) on my little speakers. I had to move the router farther away from the desktop.

    Re: Constant popping sound

I tried the advice in this post, and it seems to have worked for now.

I am not right next to a router, but it's not that far away. If it starts popping again, I'll try determining if the router is causing it.

    Thanks guys!
