Changing icon size in Unity 2d Ubuntu 12.04

Thanks for this! Since my eyesight isn't that bad I found the huge bulky icons a tad on the offensive side. Thanks to you, I now have a sexy slim launcher again.

As for my 2 cents, gedit (out of the box) does show line numbers in the status bar, but the search option is of course far more convenient, since the line numbers change all the time. (as seen in the forum discussion above)

Thank you bonzini. Your message did 2 things. Fixed the icons AND gave me a taste of using terminal and sudo. And don't worry, I'll be careful with the latter.

Thank you for posting this information - it worked for me and made the display of the desktop look so much better than the standard stock size icons.

Thanks for posting. It changed the icons to a small size. I'd like to make them size 39 seen in Unity 3d. Anyone know offhand what the corresponding numbers in 2d would be?
