    11.10] Any way to get the window buttons into the panel?

    What I'm talking about is the Close/Maximize/Minimize buttons . Is there anyway to get them on the xfce panel? I'm trying to maximize vertical space as I'm on a laptop.

    There used to be an old Xfce applet called XfApplet that can be used to run GNOME applets in Xfce, however it is no longer maintained and will not work with newer versions of Xfce. So, unless someone manages to port the GNOME Windows Applet to Xfce, then you're out of luck.

    Two ideas:
    - wing panel (askubuntu.com/questions/100094/title-bar-in-xfce-panel);
    - remove titlebar (askubuntu.com/questions/75284/remove-titlebar-from-maximized-terminal-window).
