Hello, I want to forget Flash, Youtube is the only place where I need it.
I want to watch html5 videos on Youtube with Firefox.
It needs a h264/mp4 plugin, does not it?
How to install the plugin?
Thanks

in firefox address bar enter about:plugins and check if there is any plugin that supports these formats
if not, install gecko-mediaplayer or/and mozilla-plugin-vlc
Take a look at this: YouTube HTML5 Video Player.
You would have to be logged in to your account youtube in order to use it, though.
Another thought: I'm almost sure that youtube changes its interface automatically to html5 when a mobile device is detected. There used to be a Firefox addon called 'User Agent' that allow you to change how sites recognize your browser. You may use it to be presented, let's say, as an Iphone, then youtube will have to use html5. I haven't tested it myself, but I've read about it.
Regards.

not really, setting cookies is enough. I never log into youtube and most certainly i get non-flash clips, though not every clip seems to come as a non-flash version. You would have to be logged in to your account youtube in order to use it, though.
