Parallels Desktop 7 W/ Kubuntu Mouse Pointer Has Disappreared

Hey guys,

I install Kubuntu 11.10 on Parallels Desktop 7. My main os is OS X Lion. Everything was going fine. I had installed the parallels tools. Then I installed the updates for the new installation it hung at about 40%. Unfortunately, I did not remember to get a screenshot of what it was configuring. I think it was klibdesktop (?) perhaps. Left it running for about a day and it was it was on the same thing. I restarted the VM. Now, when I click inside of the virtual machine the mouse pointer disappears.

What can I do now to fix it?
