APU or core i5
I am in the market for a new laptop that will run gnome shell, mine craft, and LMMS and have it narrowed down to 3, each with different processors:
AMD APU A8-3520 with radeon 6520
AMD APU A6-3420 with radeon 6620
Intel core i5 with HD 3000 graphics
I have a radeon 7970 in my desktop and the drivers are absolute crap (both open and proprietary) and although the APU is graphically more powerful I'm worried that the apu drivers are also crap, which leads me to my questions:
Can Intel HD 3000 graphics run gnome shell very smoothly?
Are the drivers for the APU's far better than the AMD driver I'm using in my 7970?
I just want to run gnome shell smoothly like I could on my old nvidia cards
Bill Gates had a dream:
"A Computer on every desk, and in every home, running Microsoft Software”
And this very computer, is crushing that dream
