    Serval Professional NIC issue (serp7)

I know that support is not provided but I was hoping that someone has some advice on how to proceed. Yesterday I got a shiny new Serval Professional. I am not a real fan of where Ubuntu is going so I loaded Debian Squeeze 6.04 Stable. Well almost everything works flawlessly except for the built in wired NIC which does not work at all. Searching through the System76 forums and support site indicates that this is a known issue that they fixed with the System76 drivers. Of course they won't work with Debian.

So does anyone have any suggestion how to get it working? Other than this issue, this is an awesome laptop.

I have no idea why but my physical NIC started working.
