Question Playing Games on a VM??

If i build like 2 nodes with poor power just for surfing and such on.. and i build a realy Powerfull machine with crossfire GPUs, SSD's and uses insanly much money on the gaming setup as we all does..

    would it work?

    short version question:

Would it work to game like battlefield 3 in VM in Cloud if the node has all the hardware it needs?

would it then work to have like multiple VM's using the "gaming machine" node (and game) ??

I would say hardly ... as VMs are not meant to be 3d beasts and are actually hosted on the host machine, thus giving them less power than the original machine.

consider a newer and not even so expensive GPU, it has DDR3, this is blazing fast, if you compare it to a VM, so 3D is a no-go
