I'll be installing Ubuntu onto a USB hard drive, initially to check things out before installing onto my desktop SATA drive, but also to have a portable Ubuntu. Being portable, I could also use Ubuntu on the family laptop, on my work laptop, or when I need to troubleshoot my daughter's laptop.
I know how to install video driver for my desktop graphics card (NVidia GeForce 520 - thanks to the forum for help and advice!). Is there a way to setup Ubuntu to allow me to switch between different video drivers? Maybe as a boot option, or by shutting down the graphics system and restarting?

I'd be working with 11.10 to start, but expect to upgrade to the new release as it becomes available.

Thanks, ScientificProp
