    Ubuntu Home Network

I'm trying to connect to the other computers in the house so we can share files. The Windows computers are there, but the other Ubuntu computer is not. This is the person I most need to share with (my 91yo mom). What do I need to do to make the connection. All I can find is how to connect with Windows, but I have that.

    Re: Ubuntu Home Network

If you are talking about 2 Ubuntu computers ......

Install openssh-server on the computer you want to connect to

Then in the file browser's menu on the other one go

    file > connect to server

Input the ip address of the other computer along with the username and password.

    Click connect
