    Unable to reach router

I can not get back on the internet. All the updates are installed, but now I am unable to reach the internet or the router. I have checked the cable, and other computers in the house can connect to the router and internet. The lights on the LAN card are on and solid. In admin I have the IP address set to static, and the gateway address matches the router's IP address.

Yes. I was able to do the update from the command line. After the install I could not connect to the internet anymore.

    Re: Unable to reach router

After the install or the update? Right click the network icon and make sure 'Enable Wireless' is checked. If it is, uncheck and the check it again.

Can you ping the router? Try:

    Code:
    ping ***.***.***.***
... in a terminal, where ***.***.***.*** is the IP of your router. In network manager, do you still have the correct access point name (ESSID), security details, DNS IP address, etc? Could you also provide the output of:

    Code:
    iwconfig
    ... please?
